🍁😍🍁 Any day now, the San Juan Mtns will explode into gold… glittery aspen trees to burnished sunsets, sunshiney days to the warmth of our Music Mountain tent.
If you get giddy as fall comes, can’t resist autumn-themed anything, love a cold snap so you can woobie up in your fave fuzzies, and eagerly welcome all things pumpkin spice and cozy, then you NEED a September Sombrilla Springs experience! 🥰🍁
Once you arrive, you’ll glamp in one of our walk-in safari tents furnished w/ cloud-like bedding after marveling at the most stunning, star-laden skies you’ll EVER see. And every morning, you’ll wake up feeling like you’re still dreaming as the valley greets you with green and gold, sunshine, wildlife and cloudscapes, all while noshing on a delish ranch breakfast each morning. 🍳🥓
You’ll enjoy the run of the entire 450-acre ranch, as well as an adjacent hiking trail and others in the area, including Opal Lake just down the road.
Onsite, you can hike, bike, fish, get massages and enjoy signature Sombrilla experiences, e.g. progressive fireside dinner or wine & cheese tour, pasture picnic, archery obstacle course, sunset happy hour, stargazing setup, live music by fireside, and more.
In nearby Pagosa Springs, you can soak in the therapeutic hot springs, see a movie at the historic Liberty Theater downtown, shop, dine and visit art galleries. Other area excursions include rock climbing (indoor and outdoor), scenic drives, rafting and kayaking, wildlife park, hot air balloon rides (on- and off-site), disc golf, golf, historic trains (in nearby Durango and Chama, NM) and more! It’s every fall lover’s DREAM! 😍
“We went [to Sombrilla Springs] last August for our anniversary and it was AMAZING. Sandlin is the ultimate host and the entire venue is breathtaking. I highly recommend Sombrilla Springs for couples, families or friend groups, in addition to special occasions.” —Cindi Tamez
Whether you’re a couple or a group of friends — there are a myriad of ways to make your trip to Sombrilla Springs one you’ll remember forever!

Btw, closest airport is Durango (less than 90 min. drive), but you could skip the hassle and drive. I leave Austin by 4-5am, and arrive by happy hour (about 13 hours)… or stop for a fun night in Santa Fe! There’s some incredible scenery along the way and roadtrips always make for a better story! ❤️
