Pahala Plantation Cottages is not accepting any short term vacation rentals. Only long term rentals until the coronavirus pandemic is over and the county deems it safe for visitors.

HAWAI`I MUSIC FESTIVAL comes to Ka`u today. Soprano Amy Shoremount-Obra, violinist Eric Silberger, cellist Daniel Lelchuk and soprano Mikayla Sager present a concert at 6 p.m. at Pahala Plantation House. Special guests include pianist Ian Parker and taiko artist Kenny Endo.

$25 tickets support Hawai`i Public Radio’s effort to extend signals throughout Ka`u. For priority seating, purchase tickets in advance at himusicfestival.bpt.me.

Ka`u Coffee growers offer a tasting at 5 p.m.

Help raise money for instruments at Ka'u Middle School by attending an Afternoon of Jazz at the Pahala Plantation House today from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Donations will be accepted for the Brass Band Afterschool Project at Ka'u Middle School supported by Volcano Art Center.
