We have had to do it for several years now, but I sure resent having to. Between 4 and 6 weeks after branding and first vaccinations, we now have to give booster shots to calves. Which means I have to hold on to calves for a month before putting them out on rangeland.
These are photos of grass in holding pen. About 120 acres for 55 cows, 42 calves and 5 bulls. Photos are; day 1/ day 10/ and day 17. Now I'm spending about $140 per day to feed hay until I can kick them out to big fields.
