We will remain CLOSED on Sundays and Mondays until after the holidays.

As much as we’d love to welcome everyone seven days a week, we still have several interior and exterior restoration projects that simply cannot wait until spring.

Closing on Sundays and Mondays will give us the time needed to continue making improvements while preserving the history and character of this incredible 200-plus-year-old property.

❤️ This old girl has stood for over two centuries, and we’re determined to make sure she stands for many more!

The reality is, this beautiful historic landmark needed love, attention, and significant repairs long before we came along. Restoring her while operating a restaurant and inn is no small undertaking, but we believe she’s worth every bit of the effort.

And here’s where YOU make a difference.

Every dinner you enjoy, every overnight stay you book, every event you host, and every time you share our posts or recommend us to a friend helps us continue bringing this historic treasure back to life.

Without the support of our community and a thriving business inside these walls, the deterioration could easily outpace our ability to restore her.

We’re not just running a restaurant and inn. We’re working to save a piece of history for future generations to experience and enjoy.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support us, believes in what we’re building, and understands that preserving history takes time, patience, and a whole lot of hard work.

Please keep visiting, keep sharing, and help us keep this beautiful old girl standing proud!

❤️ With gratitude,
The Family at Joseph’s 1818 Public House & Tavern and Historic Rider’s Hostelry
