Trail conditions have cleared below Shirttail Point and the Forest Service has opened Lands End Road atop the Grand Mesa, providing access to Shirttail Point. Shuttle drop-off location will move from the Lands End Rd / Wild Rose Picnic area drop-off (for ~17 mi of trail) to Shirttail Point (for ~21 mi of trail).
It'll be at least another couple of weeks most likely until the very top of the Mesa is dried out - snow banks are still melting there. When it does dry, that will add the Mesa Top Trailhead to the dropoff points available, opening up the full Plunge trail mileage. We'll keep you posted on that change when it occurs.
The Palisade Plunge drop off location has officially been changed to Shirttail Point. This will give riders 21 of the 32 mile track. We will keep an eye out around the Mesa Top drop off for the next week or so, as there is still a considerable amount of mud in that area.
