In the heart of Glades County, Fisheating Creek meanders through ancient cypress swamps, vibrant prairies, and serene marshes.

As the only free-flowing tributary into Lake Okeechobee, this 52-mile waterway is a lifeline for countless species, including the elusive Florida panther and the majestic swallow-tailed kite.

Today we celebrate this raw, beautiful corner of the worldโ€”and remember to leave it better than we found it.
