Looking for a way to enjoy the beautiful weather with your Girl Scout friends and family? We have extended registration for our Campfire Songs and S’mores event at Camp Palos! Join us this Friday, April 17 to roast a toasty and tasty s’more and to sing your favorite Girl Scout camp songs.

Belt out the classics and pick up a few new favorites while dancing around the campfire. Then experience the magic of camp by roasting a marshmallow over the fire to make yourself a delicious s'more! Bring your troop, family, and friends to this exciting Girl Scout campfire. Whether it’s shutting off the lights, using less water, or keeping up with your recycling, there are infinite ways to make a difference. From composting to conserving, we can all pitch in today and help take care of our one and only home—Earth. 🌎💕

This holiday celebrates love, care, and support between friends, and encourages people to go out and create a new connection. Every day is an opportunity to make new friends and to appreciate the ones we've had for so long. Celebrate today by telling your friends how much they mean to you, and by reaching out to someone new to tell them the same! 💕

Happy Strawberry Ice Cream Day! This is brought to you by one of everyone’s favorite summertime snacks. Whether you’re mixing in fresh strawberries or crushed up thin-mints, ice cream will surely hit the spot. Girl Scouts are no strangers to a delicious dessert.

Explore the winter woods as you embark on a journey of observation and discovery! Join us Saturday, February 7 at Camp Palos for the Winter portion of our Get Outdoors Challenge. Cozy up and create winter-themed crafts at a variety of stations. Make your very own snow ice cream to enjoy with some warm hot cocoa. Join in the fun and play some winter-themed games including snowperson relay races and snow fort teambuilding challenges. Create a snowstorm and embark on a cosmic adventure through space to see how STEM is always in season!❄️

Both the morning (9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.) and afternoon (1:00 – 4:00 p.m.) sessions of the Get Outdoors Challenge follow the same schedule, so sign-up for whichever time slot works best. Cost for this event is $25/Girl Scout youth and $5/Girl Scout adult. Financial Assistance is available for this program.

It's that time of year, Camp Palos Wrapped 2025 is HERE! Let's look back on all the fun we had throughout the year. We’ve calculated every s'more roasted, every trail hiked, and every camper who had the summer of a lifetime at camp this past year! We're looking forward to 2026 and to all the new friends and memories we'll certainly make. We hope you have a wonderful new year!✨

Earlier this month, the GCNWI Outdoor Program Team and several of our wonderful volunteers helped celebrate our 8th annual Camp Lights event at Camp Palos! Girl Scout friends and families spent the night exploring camp and staying warm with bright lights and tasty treats. Participants created snowflake crafts, did a hands-on STEM activity, and cooked up a new twist on a classic campfire snack. Camp Lights was festive and fun, and it was a great evening of cooling off in the snow and warming up by the fire. It was so wonderful to see everyone come out to celebrate the season!!🎄💕✨
