🚨 PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT, PCB VACATIONERS! 🌴
BOOK DIRECT & SAVE! 💰

Have you noticed how expensive booking a vacation through Airbnb and VRBO has become? The fees keep going up, and those costs ultimately affect what YOU pay for your vacation.

Here's what's changing:

🔹 Airbnb: Hosts are now paying a 15.5% platform fee, which is built into the rental pricing.
🔹 VRBO: Effective October 29, 2026, the host commission is increasing to 12%, while guests will still pay a separate service fee.

Those fees add up! And owners can't keep absorbing these increases without eventually passing some of the cost along to guests.

🏖️ Here's a better option: BOOK DIRECT!

With all the new fees and changing rules, I'm seriously considering moving our rentals entirely to direct bookings. Many other owners are looking at the same thing.

🌴 HURRICANE ISAIAS UPDATE – PCB/NW FL

We’re keeping a close eye on Isaias as it moves toward the northern Gulf Coast. The latest local forecast is calling for our main weather impact to be Friday into Saturday, with strong winds, heavy rain, dangerous surf and possible storm surge/coastal flooding.

Thursday is expected to be our last relatively quiet day, and the forecast is currently looking much better from Sunday forward. Of course, the track can still shift, so we’ll continue watching it closely.

For guests arriving this weekend, I highly recommend following Chris Smith with Panhandle Weather. He does a great job providing local, real-time updates specific to our area.
