The things you can find at the beach here are amazing!
Unfortunately in this case, these poor guys were still alive when they were brought in for display. If sand dollars are still fuzzy, please leave them in their home. Only take the white ones.

Finished our annual family work week. Repairs, requested upgrades and fun. Not pictured: new handrail for deck stairs, more stepping stones from outdoor shower to side deck, all new pillows, new dishes and a blender.

July is almost booked solid, but we still have some openings in August and September.

Please sign up for these when you come visit us. They send a message every morning around 10am with the daily flag status and if they change during the day, you get an update. Easy to turn off when you have to head back home.

Be in the know.

We receive a lot of questions about the current flag color or what the condition of the Gulf is or will be.

Our Beach Safety Division Lifeguards, who are trained and certified as USLA Lifeguards, determine the flag color after they come on duty each morning and complete their daily morning training drills. Part of their daily training is to determine the current conditions and they do that by reviewing the current and predicted weather patterns, by visually observing the water and then physically getting in the water and swimming to experience the conditions first hand in several locations up and down the beach inside the city limits. Once this is completed they will determine what the flag color will be. This usually happens around 10:10 each morning.

Do note that flag color can and does change during the day as conditions change.

Coming soon: Electric Vehicle Charging!
