When I first started as Guest Experience Coordinator for Mimi's Haven, my husband asked me why the gulf was called the Emerald Coast. I showed him a few pictures like these, and he quickly understood. 🌊 Panama City Beach truly has some of the most beautiful beaches in the country...and I now have proof.

We are neighbor's with St. Andrews State Park and they just received a great ranking on Tripadvisor's 2026 Travelers' Choice Best of the Best Beaches list. Since we are direct neighbors, I'm taking that as a great review of Mimi's Haven's beaches as well.

St. Andrews State Park has earned a spot on Tripadvisor's 2026 Travelers' Choice Best of the Best Beaches list, ranking #8 in the United States. Panama City Beach also made the national list at #11. The recognition lands during the park's 75th anniversary year, marking decades of pristine shoreline where the Gulf meets St. Andrews Bay. A mile and a half of untouched beach, dune trails, and calm waters, exactly as it's always been.

We recently discovered a fun coffee shop called The Drip Coffee Co. They can be found at 2440 St. Andrew's Blvd in Panama City. It's about a 15 drive from the condo, but the extra drive time is worth it.

They serve "drinks and eats" and their focus is on mom's with littles. They have mommy and me workouts, host birthday parties and even have an indoor playroom so that you can relax and sip some coffee while still keeping a close eye on your kiddos. ☕

It has been a while since I have featured the guest room, so I thought I would share it with you today. This room has a nautical theme and features a walk-in closet as well as a full bath (which is also accessible from the hallway). It has a queen-sized bed, a full-sized bed as well as a twin-sized bunk over the full. It can accommodate 5 people, but that 5th person needs to be a child or at least be very agile adult as it does require some climbing.🪜It also has a nightstand, a dresser, and a TV. 📺

UPDATE: August 12th-15th was booked at this super low rate, but we still have August 9th-12th available if you are up for a last minute vacation. 🌞

We had a cancelation for next week, but this creates a great opportunity for anyone who is able to take a last minute vacation. August 9th-15th are the only dates that are on sale, but this pricing is unbelievably good!

If you book on our ecbyo account (link in comments), it will be a straight $1,000 with all taxes and fees included. If you prefer to book on our vrbo account (link in comments), it will show up as $125/night plus the taxes and fees they add.

The Moonspinner complex has a great pool area that consists of a large pool, a kiddie pool, and a hot tub. There is also a patio area that faces the water, which has lounges and several table and chairs. This is a great area to just relax, work on your laptop or even eat a meal. All of these spaces are very well maintained and a nice option when you don't want to get sandy. This is one of the many perks of staying at Mimi's Haven.

Mimi's Haven has a washer and dryer, and it is located in the kitchen. They are relatively new, so they are in great working order, and you don't have to track down a handful of quarters to use them. Ha!

You can pack less items without have to wear previously worn ones, but don't forget to bring some laundry detergent and fabric softener.
