First trip to Panama City Beach? I made every mistake so you don't have to.

I booked the West End thinking I'd be close to everything. I was — including the traffic. Turns out the East End near St. Andrews State Park is quieter, closer to Shell Island, and the launch point for the best fishing charters on the coast. Completely different trip.

Then there's what locals call the "Secret Season." Same warm Gulf water, zero wait at Schooners, humidity finally backs off. My neighbor swears by September. After waiting 20 minutes for a table last July, I'm a believer.
