Chasing the pre-storm wind! 🌪️🐾
Yesterday afternoon, right before the storm hit, decided to take Miles down for a quick walk on the beach, the wind blew something past and Miles completely took off!
He went full Olympic sprinter!

Thankfully, the video cut out before showing my spectacular face-plant into the sand. Miles definitely had a blast 😂🏖️🤦‍♀️

Ocean Towers made it through the storm! 🌀✨

While our building took a bit of a beating, she held strong! We have a major cleanup effort ahead of us. I haven't been able to walk through every single room and area just yet, but what I have seen proves how resilient this building truly is.

An Incredible Update: We Have Power! 💡
In an unbelievable twist of fate, Ocean Towers Beach Club has full power! Many surrounding areas are facing major power outages right now, so we are incredibly grateful. Most importantly, I have heard from the majority of our employees; while many are currently without power at home, everyone is safe and unharmed.

An Emotional Morning
Walking around the property this morning brought up a lot of emotions. Unbelievably, today marks exactly 8 years since Hurricane Michael devastated our community on October 10, 2018. Seeing the difference between this morning and that day is both overwhelming and profoundly emotional.

Please keep our neighbors to the west in Walton County and Okaloosa County in your thoughts and prayers, as we are hearing those areas did not fare as well.

Important Information for Incoming Guests Today:

• Road Conditions: There are many downed trees and widespread power outages across town. Emergency crews are out working hard. I will share the update from the Panama City Police Department directly following this post so you can see current road conditions.

• Pack Your Patience: If you are checking in today, please bear with us. We have an extensive cleanup underway. Our main concern is that some ocean sand may have drifted under the front doors into some of the rooms. If your room isn't completely perfect the moment you walk in, please be patient with our team as we work quickly to resolve it.

You guys have been absolutely amazing, and I cannot thank you enough for your ongoing support. We have a strong building, and the structural work that has been put into this property makes me believe in it now more than ever. This special place will be here for many, many generations to come.

I wish the video could do justice to the size of these waves. On one hand,  it is phenomenal.

I’m sure most of you know it is a category 3. Expected landfall Pensacola to Miramar Beach.

Walton County is close to their beach’s underwater due to the storm surge,
so far we’re holding strong at the moment!

All employees except Spence… good ol’e Spence 🤦‍♀️ are home safely and properly is secured.

We are about to pull the elevators up to the 4th floor and shut them off!

Here’s a little video of what’s happening right now as most of you probably know it has increased to a category three and they’re still expecting around the Pensacola Destin area

Our biggest threat is storm surge. Local weather is stating that our winds will be somewhere between 70 and 110 mph.

I’ll keep you guys updated as I can.

Ocean Towers family I have bombarded you with many Facebook post today…..

I was hoping to get the latest update at 10 pm CST and make one more post before bedtime but I think I’m going to call it a tonight.

We’re going to get some high winds and water surge but let’s put it out there…..There will be no major damage to Ocean Tower Beach club!

 If you want me to continue these updates through tomorrow let me know and I’ll do my very best to keep you updated with what is happening at at Ocean Towers….  if some think it’s a little too overwhelming or not needed let me know.

To my Ocean Towers Beach Club family,

With all of my updates today about the evacuation, the storm surge, and getting everyone safely on the road, I wanted to take a moment to say thank you from my heart.
We all know….  I can get a little crazy when things are getting crazy! 🤦‍♀️

As your General Manager, asking you to leave the property early today was tough, but your incredible patience, kindness, and understanding made a stressful situation so much easier.

Whether you were here enjoying your week or waiting for your upcoming Friday check-in, thank you for rollin' with the punches, staying so patient with all the constant updates, and being so supportive of everything front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance had to go through today and will tomorrow.

Ocean Towers Beach Club is so much more than just a place we all go too - it is home, and you all are family.

Your dedication to this place and your kind words are exactly why I love what I do.

Please stay safe wherever you are arriving or riding out the storm, and waiting to hopefully be able to open back up on Saturday!

🚨 URGENT NOTICE: FRIDAY CHECK-INS SUSPENDED AT OCEAN TOWERS 🚨

Attention Ocean Towers Beach Club Owners and Incoming Guests:

Due to the worsening conditions from the approaching storm, there will be no check-ins tomorrow, Friday.

With the anticipated dangerous storm surge and severe high winds forecast for our area, conditions will be extremely hazardous. To ensure everyone's safety, our staff will be evacuated, and employees will not be on-site to facilitate check-ins or assist guests. Please do not travel to the property tomorrow, as the resort will be closed and inaccessible.

As of now, we tentatively plan to reopen for check-ins on Saturday. However, conditions can change quickly. Please call the property first before traveling to confirm that it is safe and that we are officially open.

We are prioritizing the safety of our guests, owners, and team members above all else. We will continue to monitor the storm closely.

Bay and Walton County have very few evacuation routes. This is the situation now.
