The Pirates of the High Seas & Renaissance Fest runs Friday through Sunday, Oct. 9–11, at Aaron Bessant Park, and it's free. Saturday is the big night: the main parade runs 5–7 PM, with fireworks at 8.

Backstage Pass continues tonight in downtown Panama City with the Gage Cowart Band on the Marina Lawn, between Hotel Indigo and Harrison's Kitchen & Bar. It starts at 7 PM, it's free, and organizers suggest bringing a chair or a blanket.

Free live music tonight, right on the bay. 🎸

Backstage Pass opens its fall season this evening — Rock Mob on the Marina Lawn, 7 Harrison Ave in downtown Panama City. 7 PM, free, bring a chair.

It's an easy drive from the house and one of the nicest ways to spend a Thursday evening here: water on one side, live band on the other, nobody charging you twelve dollars for the privilege.

Fall event season starts tomorrow. 🎸

Panama City's Backstage Pass concert series kicks off Thursday on the Marina Lawn downtown — free, 7 PM, bring a chair or a blanket, right on St. Andrews Bay. It runs Thursdays through late October.

And that's just the opener. The PCB Fishing Rodeo, the Seafood Festival, Pirates of the High Seas and Oktoberfest are all coming between late September and mid-October.

Traveling with little ones? We already packed for you. 🌴

There's a Pack 'n Play and a high chair here waiting — not available on request, not an add-on fee, just already in the house. We travel with a toddler ourselves, and we got tired of the trunk Tetris.

That's the theme of most of the decisions here: we put in the things we kept wishing other rentals had.

Closet space and real drawers in every bedroom — which sounds mundane until you've spent a week living out of an open suitcase on the floor.

It's one of those things that makes a longer stay feel genuinely restful instead of like camping indoors. Especially if you're here for a week or more, or working a few days remote while the family's at the beach.
