This cabin has been standing since the 1860s. 🪵

Think about that for a second. It was here before Utah was a state. Before Bryce Canyon was a national park. Generations of families have come through that doorway.

Everything that needed updating has been updated. Everything that did not has been left alone. It sleeps four, and it feels like nowhere else you have stayed.

The Log Cabin is a guest favorite and we are so happy to see so many of your families filling it up this year.

The cottonwoods are starting to turn. 🍂

It happens fast out here. One week the meadow is green, the next it has gone gold, and the late afternoon light does something to this property that we still have not found the words for.

Fall in Southern Utah is short. Six weeks, maybe. Then we close for the season at the end of October.

If you have ever thought about seeing this place in autumn, this is the window.

The best hike near Bryce Canyon that almost nobody talks about. 🌄

Golden Wall Trail sits just outside the park boundary in Red Canyon, about 15 minutes from the ranch. Around three miles, moderate, and the payoff is a wall of red and gold rock that glows in the afternoon light.

The best part? No park entrance fee, no shuttle, and often no other hikers. If you want the Southern Utah scenery without the Bryce Canyon crowds, this is where we send people.

Pair it with the Castle Bridge cutoff for a slightly longer loop.

Did you know Bryce Canyon has some of the darkest skies in North America? ✨

And we are 20 minutes outside the park on 50 acres, with no streetlights and nothing between you and the sky.

Guests walk out to the fire pit expecting stars and end up standing there for an hour without saying much. Give your eyes 20 minutes to adjust, then look up.

Bring a blanket. Bring a telescope if you have one. Or just bring yourself, tilt your head back, and enjoy the magical views Southern Utah provides.

The Barn sleeps five, and every one of them sleeps well. 🛏️

A plush queen downstairs, two twin beds up in the loft, and a pull out sofa. Fully equipped kitchenette, premium linens, air conditioning, and a smart TV for the night nobody wants to move.

Then you step onto the porch and the whole reason you drove here is right in front of you. Fifty acres. Open sky. Horses in the field. Bryce Canyon 20 minutes away.

The horses will come right up to the fence. The chickens have absolutely no boundaries. And you can collect your own eggs in the morning, which somehow becomes the highlight of the trip for most families.

We have watched more than a few kids arrive glued to a tablet and leave asking when they can come back. That is the whole reason we do this.
