Happy New Year, friends!

We've been quiet, because let's be real - social media can be exhausting, and we've been enjoying our hibernation season.

But it's time to take a deep breath and greet 2026.

If you've stayed with us before, we're excited to welcome you back this year! If you're planning your first visit, we look forward to meeting you and becoming a favorite lodging option in Paonia.

For groups, there's still time to hold your preferred dates for the season. General reservations will open February 1, and we expect a full calendar this year with all the amazing happenings in and around Paonia.

Spur-of-the-moment weekend? You might be in luck. 🍷✨️

The West Elks Wine Trail is happening this weekend in and around Paonia - think: award-winning wines, local food pairings, live music, and vineyard views.

We've still got a few cozy rooms left at The Local Nomad for solo travelers or pairs. Head home on Sunday with a few bottles to share, a phone full of mountain photos, and that well-fed, well-rested kind of glow.

Luckily, a short drive up the mountain from the hostel gets you cooler temps, shady trails, wildflower views, and breezy picnic spots.
