An incredibly beautiful color drive with stops along the way to enjoy Lake Superior's Whitefish Bay. At Whitefish Point, you’re standing on one of the most legendary stretches of Lake Superior shoreline in the Great Lakes.

Climb the tower at the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum and you’ll see miles of sandy shoreline, historic outbuildings, and open water stretching “as far as the eye can see.” On a clear day? Canada sits just across the bay — only a few miles away.

You’ll almost always spot a freighter cutting across the horizon, tracing the same cold, powerful waters that earned this area the nickname “Shipwreck Coast.”
