❄️ WE’RE OPENING FOR WINTER 2026/2027! ❄️

We are so excited to announce that Paradise Lakefront Lodge and The Inn will officially open for the winter season on January 13th!

As many of you know, we made the difficult decision to close last winter. After 48 years of being in business up here, we felt like, just this once, we needed to step back and do something for ourselves.

And we can’t thank all of you enough for understanding.

The kind words, encouragement, positive feedback, and support we received made that decision so much easier and a whole lot less stressful. We know y’all missed us last winter — and trust us, we missed you too. A LOT. But at the time, we truly couldn’t see another way, and it was something we needed to do.

So, with all that being said…

WE’RE BACK THIS WINTER! ❤️❄️

We’re ready for the snow, the snowmobilers, the skiing, snowshoeing, or just getting away and enjoying the winter wonderland here in Paradise. We can’t wait to see the familiar faces, and new faces, spending cozy nights at The Inn for a fantastic dinner and then relaxing by the fireplace back at the Lodge! We are hoping and praying for another beautiful winter in Paradise!

Reservations are officially open online now! And, of course, you can always call us directly at 906-492-3770 to make your reservation — or just call and say hi. We’d love to hear from you!

We are truly looking forward to seeing everyone again and kicking off the 2026/2027 winter season on January 13th!

Much Love,
Paradise Lakefront Lodge & The Inn
Paradise, Michigan ❤️❄️

A town called “Paradise” has a lot to live up to… and somehow, it does.

Tucked in Michigan’s eastern Upper Peninsula, Paradise is small, quiet, and perfectly positioned for some of the state’s most unforgettable природ escapes.

It’s your gateway to Whitefish Point, where Lake Superior stretches endlessly and shipwreck history runs deep. Just down the road, Tahquamenon Falls State Park delivers one of Michigan’s most iconic views with its powerful, amber-colored waterfalls.

And if you’re up for something unique, you’re also within easy reach of Oswald’s Bear Ranch—home to rescued black bears you can safely observe up close.

No crowds. No rush. Just fresh air, wild beauty, and a name that finally makes sense.

A double feature on August 12, 2026. Not only is the partial solar eclipse happening but the Perseid meteor shower will be at peak on the night of the 12th. Let’s hope for a clear night!🤞🙏🏻🙌🏼

Still got your eclipse glasses sitting around from 2024? Get ready! The 2026 total solar eclipse is occurring on August 12th, 2026. No complete totality over the United States this year. You'll have to book a quick flight to Spain or Iceland in the next 4 days in order to see the sun completely blocked by the moon. Still, here in Michigan, we will see a sliver of the moon pass in front of the sun. Percentage zones on the map are approximated.

-- Timing for August 12th --
Upper Peninsula
Start: Roughly 12:45 pm EDT, Peak: Around 1:25 pm EDT

Northern Lower Peninsula
Start: Roughly 12:55 pm EDT, Peak: Around 1:31 pm EDT

Southern Lower Peninsula
Start: Roughly 1:03 pm EDT, Peak: Around 1:34 pm EDT

You can use timeanddate(dot)com to figure out the exact timing for your city for the eclipse start, peak, and ending. The closer to Maine you can get, the more blockage you'll see by the moon in front of the sun. The northeastern tip of Maine will see 30% obscuration, the most out of any location in the continental United States.
