🎣 Fish Stocking Update! 🐟

Earlier this week the Michigan DNR Fisheries Division continued its valued partnership with Paris County Park by stocking approximately 7,750 Brown Trout in the 4-7 inch size range into the Muskegon River from the Paris Park landing!

We are incredibly grateful to remain a prioritized stocking location for both Brown Trout and Rainbow Trout through the DNR Fisheries Division. These efforts help support outstanding fishing opportunities and enhance the natural beauty and recreation our community enjoys year after year.

A big thank you to the Michigan DNR for their continued partnership and commitment to our local waterways! 🌊

Paris Park Office Update - Crews have been hard at work in the park this week preparing a new office building for the start of the year. The fire damaged building was removed on Monday, with the shell of our new (temporary) office brought in and placed on-site on Tuesday. Yesterday was spent finishing the outside with windows, doors, and siding, as well as running all of the electrical and internet lines throughout the building. Today we hope to get all of the interior finished including a new welcome counter and installation of all of the computer equipment. We will post an additional progress update later today. The park is scheduled to open for the season at 8:00 AM tomorrow morning and we are very excited to welcome everyone back for the season!

Paris Park Opening Day Update - The opening day for Paris County Park has been delayed by 1-week as we continue to work through a replacement plan for the park office that was damaged in a fire. The new anticipated opening date is May 8th at 8:00 AM.

Seasonal Campers and Nightly Reservation holders affected by the delay have all been e-mailed or called with information and options related to the change in the parks opening day.

We hope to have a new temporary office structure in place before next Friday to check-in all our customers and great everyone for the season, however if the office is not up and running we will relay an alternative check-in plan to those arriving.

We look forward to welcoming everyone back to the park on May 8th and will provide an update next week on the office conditions and check-in procedures.

As we are seeing word spread and receiving inquiries regarding an incident in the park early this morning we wanted to clarify what occurred and the status. The Paris Park Office/Campground Office had a fire occur within the interior of the building. The building is likely damaged beyond repair, so we will be exploring options for our park entrance as we prepare to open for the season. There is a chance that the campground opening will be delayed slightly. If that occurs, we will reach out to all seasonal campers and reservation holders to advise them of the situation. We would like to express our gratitude to the first responders and fire fighters who quickly arrived at the park and extinguished the fire. We look forward to getting things cleaned up and welcoming everyone back to the park soon!
