The Lazy Loon Lodge is looking for the right people to be part of our growing team. We are currently in need of cooks. Cooks will be trained, so the main qualifications are a desire for success, dedication to learn, reliability, and be able to enjoy the company of really good people that are our staff and customers. We are open tonight Friday for fish. Followed by our Season Opener on Saturday. Still could use some more vendors. No charge to set up a table.

This is a community event. There is no charge to setup a booth or a table if you wish. We ask that you clean up after yourself. We also ask that you have a raffle of some sort. You may keep the proceeds. Would really like to get as many non-profits involved and local businesses. We understand that it is opening day of fishing season. We also recognize that there are a lot of people left on shore while others are fishing. Call if you have any additional questions.

The Lazy Loon is going to follow a few other local places and close for the month of April. While we are closed, we will be remodelling the bathrooms in our hotel rooms, landscaping out back yard, working on the drive through coffee shop, clean-clean-clean, and getting ready for our Re-Opening on Friday May 1st. We will be having a May 2nd "Lazy Loon Lodge Opener" All day on Saturday, May 2nd. We will be giving away 1 free specialty coffee per person all day. There will be Live music, raffles, and fun. Watch for our posters in the area or call us for more details. If you are interested in setting up a raffle booth for your business or non-profit, give us a call. No charge for booths.

Just wanted to let everyone know that I am a little concerned about the weather tomorrow. The restaurant will be closed, Sunday-March 15 (Rooms will still be available). Stay safe out there! This weather is temporary. It will be in the 40's next week.

Joke of the week -
My very young granddaughter came up to me this morning, and with a very serious look on her face, asked me, “Where does poo come from?” I was a little surprised that she didn’t ask her mother first, but I figured, I got this. I was a teacher for 30 years, twenty of which was in elementary, at the very least, I am qualified to answer the question. So, I explained the digestive system, without going into too much scientific detail, as not to lose her attention. She seemed to understand what I was saying. She nodded, then wrinkled her forehead in a slightly confused look. “Do you have another question?” I asked. She looked up at me and said hesitantly, “If that is where poo comes from, where does Piglet come from?”

Maybe I should just stick to cooking.

Still working on getting out of the house. Truck w/plow just sank in the dirt where the frost came out of the ground. I hope it freezes hard tonight so I can drive it out. We are still planning on being open for fish tonight. See you there.
