Howdy friends! We are the historical Bar Lazy J Guest Ranch nestled along the Colorado River in Parshall, CO.

We created this page to keep touch with all of our wonderful guests and staff and to bring all of these friends together!

The Colorado River flows right through the ranch property and brings all sorts of wildlife along with it. As a guest, learn a fun new skill or brush up on techniques with our guide that’ll give the all the tricks you need to accomplish your goals.

Did you know the beef we eat on ranch comes from a local cattle ranch? We love supporting local businesses any chance we get! Also if you were a guest this year you might recognize the gentleman in the photos, Phil! He was making all the burgers this year as well as many other yummy meals on ranch alongside chef Adam!

And that’s a wrap on our 2026 season! What a fabulous season this has been thanks to our incredible staff for creating amazing experiences. And to our wonderful guests, whether it’s your first visit or your 10th we love creating new memories with you. This year was filled with all sorts of celebrations, endless scenic trails and mouth watering meals. Best of luck to our staff as they head to their next adventures and to our beloved guests have a safe and healthy off season we’ll see you on trail again soon ♥️

Some pictures from our last guest week! Nothing but beautiful golds and oranges while out on rides! We had 2 bull moose encounters on ranch. First one was checking out the percherons and made them look small, if you could believe it! Second one crossed over the Colorado River creating what felt like a scene out of a movie!!

Beautiful fall views in the Rocky Mountains! We’re soaking in all the fun before we start our close down. What a fabulous week to end the season !

The herds last jingle, as a whole, of the season! Satisfying sounds and a rush of adrenaline watching them all run right infront of you.

Lots of colorful scenes filled this past week! We were happy in Parshall seeing some wet mornings that left us with perfect temperatures for the afternoons. Heading into our last guest week at Bar Lazy J and we already know it’ll be a great one!

We are FALL-ing in love with the changing aspens and crisp, cool mornings. September has been so good to us here at the ranch with lots of moisture and beautiful scenes!

Be our guest!! Tables are set beautifully by our crew, home-made bread from our pastry chef Sophia, and delicious appetizers followed by enticing entrees prepared by head chef Adam. Best part is there’s no cooking or cleaning on your end, just show up with an appetite and we’ll handle the rest!
