If anyone is visiting this weekend (06/06) ... good news! Tubing will be available at the campsite!
The river flow is controlled by an outside agency and they have begun its seasonal releasing schedule! (which allows for tubing in the river)

Please note we have no control of the river levels and the outside agency only releases the water when the water supply levels are able to. We cannot guarantee high river levels during anyone’s stay.

La Jolla Indian Adventure Park is the perfect place to escape your everyday life and spend time in nature. You can take advantage of the adventure park, or simply explore the historical campsite. It's TUBING SEASON! 🎉 The outside agency that controls water flows on the San Luis Rey River (which runs through La Jolla Indian Campground) has started its FIRST RELEASE OF THE 2026 SEASON!
We're told that water will be flowing through Sunday, possibly into Monday. Come see us!

Important notes: La Jolla Indian Adventure Park does NOT control water flows. Typically, water releases tend to happen surrounding the weekend days throughout the summer, leaving the river calmer during weekdays.
