Bikepath B&B is a Cyclist owned, Cyclist oriented lodging house located in Paw Paw, WV. It's also the longest running lodging operation in Paw Paw. We cater to hikers/bikers travelling the C&O Canal Towpath trail. This includes the room, our huge "20 Mile breakfast", laundry, kitchen, High speed Internet, Phone w/free long distance, reclining couch to use your device, TV in the living room, Indoor

bike storage, laptop work space, over 1000 sq. of interior space for your group, 10" memory foam mattresses, clean indoor bathroom (sanitized, and for use of your group, only). We are fully licensed, County Health Dept. inspected, clean, and sanitary. I'm Dan, and I own the place, I ride 7000 miles a year between Cumberland, and Williamsport, and hike over the tunnel with my dog most days. I know this section of trail as well as anybody, supply the Park with info every week. I love this Park, it's why I retired here. You'll love it, too. I run this place on a very small profit basis, because I can, and I like cyclists staying here, feel we are a tribe, have a lot in common, makes for very good company. I was up in Ohio last week with my friend Roger, finally doing some O2E trail. We did Milford-Xenia. And Sunbury-Brecksville and back, about 370 miles. This pic is along the Cuyahoga. It was a fabulous ride, in a beautiful state. And, the people are very friendly up there, it's a good culture.

Took 4 days off last week to ride solo from Paw Paw to Frostburg, then to Connellsville, then back. Here are some GAP, C&O pics for you. I especially like miles 35-85 on the GAP, feel immersed in the forest. Weather is hot, keep up the electrolytes, and take a nap in the shade if you're tired.

Here's a great bunch who stayed here this week. Wendy and DJ, James, Nathan, Ron, Matt, Nathan, and Olivia. Ron, James and Matt have been through before.
They kindly let me join the ride for the last 18 miles of their 73 mile day from Rockwood. Good fun. And, always great to see the young people enjoying our Park. They are the ones who will carry the torch and pass it on. A lot to love on the C&O.

A few pics from this year's Pitt-DC ride. What a blast! And this year, not a drop of rain! Brian, Rhonda, Karen, Heather, Dan, David, Gillian, Leslie, Mark and Wendy, Carla and Barry, Luann and myself. Some of us toured Fallingwater while others rafted the Yough in Ohiopyle.
There is a Green Heron who caught a fish in Georgetown, and a Mile 0 pic at Rock Creek. So much fun. 2 great trails!

France pics from the ViaRhona Route, and the Canal du Midi. Got back Thursday, rode from Lyon to Sète on the Mediterranean, that's the sailboat pic. Mostly followed the Rhone river.
Then a rest day on the south coast, and west on the Canal du Midi. First time in France for me, took French in HS and College, was a bit of a challenge speaking it, but that was one reason I went. No car, just the bike and trains.
Lovely people, culture, scenery, restaurants, places to stay, patisseries...Vineyards as far as you can see in the Longuedoc region. The RhoneAlps and Provence were very scenic, too.
Had to include the road with those big rocks, I rode through that maze with a couple guys from Argentina, we agreed it was the story of the day. Just wide enough to squeeze through on a bike. Someone went to a lot of trouble placing them that way.

After several delays, the resurfacing between Cumberland and Paw Paw is underway! They've been at it for about a month, currently working between mile 173 and 166. As you can see, the resulting surface is basically as smooth as a road. There are several phases to the work, and they are trying to work through the winter, as weather permits. Anyway, just wanted to share the good news with you all
