Peaks Island Golf Carts

Peaks Island Golf Carts $50/hour with a 2 hour minimum, $200/day (9:45am - 6pm), and $650/week. FAQs:
- Q: What is the minimum age? A: Yes!
- Q: Are dogs allowed? A: No!

A: Anyone driving the cart must be 21 or older, but we welcome passengers of any age.
- Q: Do I need a driver's license? A: Pets of any sort are allowed and encouraged, so long as you feel comfortable keeping them calm and safe while riding in a vehicle without doors.
- Q: Are they gas or electric? A: They are all electric! We switched fully to electric in 2021 so your rental will be quiet, fume-f

ree, and environmentally friendly.
- Q: What is there to do on the island with the golf cart? A: There are always the natural beauties of our wonderful coastline along the backshore and the quiet wonder of the land preserves and parks in the interior of the island. Commercially, however, you should carefully check schedules. In both the early and late parts of our season many businesses and restaurants may not be open, though Hannigan's Island Market is open daily year round.
- Q: How many people fit on a golf cart? A: 4 adults, or some combination of adults and children that roughly (and comfortably) add up to 4 adults. No, we do not currently have any larger carts.
- Q: Do you also rent bikes or scooters? A: No, we only offer golf carts. Brad & Wyatt's down the street rents bicycles but as of spring 2022 there are no electric or gas-powered bicycles, scooters, or mopeds for rent on Peaks.
- Q: Should we purchase a vehicle ticket and take our car out to Peaks in order to rent a golf cart? We are less than a two minute walk from the ferry landing and vehicle tickets are very expensive and may entail a long line. There is plentiful street parking in town by the Casco Bay Lines terminal as well as several nearby hourly lots including the Casco Bay Garage that you can use to park your car while you visit.

We will be open until at least the Wednesday before Thanksgiving! We are now closed on Tuesdays and open every other day of the week from 9:45-5:00pm (changing from 6pm due to earlier sunsets and safety concerns about twilight driving). On weekdays in November our default will be reservation only, which can be made at least 12 hours in advance at www.peaksislandcarts.com. However, on particularly nice weekdays and on weekends we will be open for walk-ups as well! Give us a call at 207-747-8309 to get the latest info on our services.

The gift card can be sent directly to the recipient's email address (or yours if you want to do it ahead of time and keep things a secret) and redeemed through our reservation portal for use at any point this season.
