Finally finding a tight window in-between some bands of rain in this Texas weather, we were able to get one of our fully rigged Hobie Mirage Compass rentals out on the water for some field testing.

Along the way, this beauty decided to crush our popping cork setup paired with an Ugly Stik rod and reel combo. Safe to say the setup handled this 21.5" red exactly like it should. Very impressed.

What a good read!

If you have a couple minutes, take some time to read through what Kayak Angler Magazine put out.

Getting into the sport—or even keeping up with it—shouldn’t push you away just because of cost.

That’s one of the main reasons we created R&C Kayak Rentals.

The last thing we want to see is someone limit their ability to get out on the water and enjoy what really matters—life, time with friends and family, and the peace that comes from being on the water.

Quick pedal out in the bay - testing out some configurations & learned a lot. Along the way we were able to land a couple black drums before loosing our sunshine.
