The wait is almost over. The Langlade County ATV and UTV Trail System officially opens Friday, May 1, at 8:00 am.

It is time to plan your ride, gather your crew, and get ready to explore the Northwoods trails that make this area a favorite for outdoor adventure.

Please note a few important updates:
The trail segment from Intersection 44 to the Wolf River State Trail will remain closed. The Wolf River State Trail is currently seasonally closed to ATV and UTV use as the DNR completes inspection and inventory work. Pending any needed repairs and available resources, that section is expected to open in the coming weeks.

We've noticed a lot of new faces here lately - so we thought it was the perfect time to reintroduce ourselves before the busy season begins!

Hi everyone! We're the husband-and-wife team behind The Trailside Inn, Nick and Jess, and we're proud to own and operate our motel as a family business.

For us, this isn't just a place to stay - it's something we pour our time, care, and pride into every single day. From preparing rooms and maintaining the property, to welcoming guests and making sure everything runs smoothly, we're very hands-on and present, and truly enjoy getting to know the people who stay with us.

We do our best to make things as seamless and convenient as possible by offering online booking and self-check-in for our guests. But even with those conveniences, we're still very much involved in the day-to-day operations. When you reach out-whether it's by phone, email, through our website, or messenger-you're talking directly with us every single time. There's no call center or third party, just the two of us doing our best to help make your stay easy, comfortable, and enjoyable.

Our goal is simple: to provide the best guest experience we possibly can and to create a place where travelers feel welcome and at home. Every bit of feedback, every comment, and every conversation we have with our guests, we take to heart. We are so grateful and thank you all for supporting our small family business!

On Sunday night/early Monday morning at 1am in the middle of a record snow storm we had the Pearson Basket Bandit steal from our lobby. They walked in, scoped the place out and looted it, taking soda, chips, pop tarts and our wicker basket to carry all of our goods. They parked out of the building camera range like they have had this planned but didn't see the game cameras in the trees. Unfortunately, for thieves of this caliber, their IQ is typically lower than your kindergartener's. So as you can see, he sits in front of the camera, after showing his face multiple times. Then pretends to write on our suggestion cards(which a "thanks" woulda been nice) and reaches to his left and unplugs the camera, which is a fake cord, and the cameras are live streamed in 4k to our phones... So he proceeds to fill our wicker basket then the camera light comes on and he looks like a deer in the head lights and scurrys out the door like a rat.. We do really feel bad for you, to a point, but I'm never gonna hear the end of the Basket Bandit from my wife, so please at least return the basket and bring your own bag next time.. The $10 in birthday cake pop tarts and Pepsi you took is really no big deal, just the point of it. Also the yellow dog in your suv is judging you just as hard as we are, we're sorry fiddo. 🙁

Although we're sad to see them close, we are so thankful for the great season we had this year!!

It was nice to catch up with some guests that we haven't seen or spoke with in a couple of years.
