Peekskill Community,
I wanted to take this opportunity to say THANK YOU to everyone who attended Tuesday night's community meeting about the proposed development for 1070 Lower South Street. Close to 60 people were in attendance to learn more about this project as well as share their thoughts. We appreciate everyone's comments and have started the process to address the questions raised to move this project forward.
During our presentation, we opened the floor for attendees to share their ideas on what they would like to see in the third lot. Some of the shared ideas included a community garden, affordable housing, solar, greenhouses, wedding hall, ninja obstacle park, skateboard park, community/recreation center, Salvation Army/thrift store, and light scale manufacturing. If you have any ideas that you would like to share, please comment below and let us know.
