I thought perhaps we could stay open during our kitchen but that was being overly optimistic or just plain naive 😊. We hope to be open again around the 1st of June. In the meantime we're having fun figuring out how our kitchen used to be and even realized we had a third chimney at one time.

I have to apologize to the person who asked about room rates. I wanted to directly reply to you but for some reason I can't find your post now. I'm sorry again it seems like this page doesn't navigate as well as my personal page. Anyway, right now both rooms are $100. The Roosevelt room price will go to $125 when it has the balcony completed. Unfortunately, we need to make some decisions about our kitchen remodel before we can complete that. Room Number 2 is done. Dave has dubbed this the Roosevelt room. he liked Teddy Roosevelt and it just so happens that TR was a member of the Dutch Reformed church. Since this house was a parsonage for Third Reformed Church in Pella for many years, he thought that he could tie in Roosevelt. Lacking any better ideas, I finally conceded. Now I just need a name for the other room. By the way, the walls are not quite this bright of a red.
