Finger Lakes Bed & Breakfast

Finger Lakes Bed & Breakfast An 1840s home restored with care. Mornings begin with ritual, comfort is crafted, and every guest adds a line to the story. https://www.fingerlakesbb.com/

Now a Select Registry B&B, our hospitality lingers in memory, in feeling, in the desire to return. Welcome to Finger Lakes Bed & Breakfast — an 1840s Italianate home where history, quiet luxury, and genuine hospitality meet. Set on seven acres of lawns, woods, and wraparound verandas, our property offers the kind of stillness that invites deep breaths and slow mornings. We’ve restored the home wit

h care, blending its original character with thoughtful, modern comforts. Just a short walk from Penn Yan’s restaurants, shops, and Keuka Lake, it’s a rare balance of retreat and connection. We live on the property and host with intention — creating a stay that feels personal, unhurried, and quietly unforgettable.

The phone rang early — the kind of early where you’re still half‑awake, standing in the kitchen, thinking about coffee.
I answered.

A man comes on the line and says, “I’m so sorry to call this early… it’s hard to get to a phone where I’m at, and I’m relieved you answered.”

Then he tells me he’s overseas, serving, and he needs help doing something for his dad for Father’s Day. Today.
And you can hear it — not panic, not stress — just that quiet urgency people have when they love someone deeply and want to get it right.

He tells me he and his dad are close.
That the Finger Lakes is something his dad always talks about.
That getting his dad out of the busy city and the constant rush would mean more than any wrapped gift ever could.

He said when he searched for a private, walkable bed and breakfast, ours came up.
He liked that his dad could park the car, slow down, and actually be somewhere — not just visit it.

Then he said, almost apologizing,
“I can’t get him a hard copy today.”

And that’s the moment everything shifted.
Not because it was a problem — it wasn’t.
But because you could hear how much he wanted this to feel special for his dad.
A son, thousands of miles away, trying to give his father a place to breathe.

So I told him, “No worries at all. I’ll send the gift certificate electronically right now, and I’ll mail the hard copy to your dad.”

There was a pause — small, but full.
That sound people make when something heavy lifts off their shoulders.

That’s the part no one sees.
The real hospitality.
Not the rooms.
Not the breakfast.
Not the porch.
It’s moments like this — when someone trusts you with something that matters to them.

Nothing about it felt like business.
It felt like connection.
And that’s the whole point.

Happy Father’s Day to all the dads who are loved from far away. ❤

Yes, this is really our property.
Yes, it’s really in the village.
And yes, it’s really this peaceful.

Our guests sip our organic, custom, sustainably roasted coffee — made just for us — while the birds wake up the morning and the world slows down a little.

All this quiet, all this beauty… and somehow still just steps from dining, wine, water, shops, and everything you love about the Finger Lakes. Our property understood the assignment in the gentlest, most magical way.

If you want to experience it for yourself: https://www.fingerlakesbb.com/ 👈 Here’s your sign.

Today’s the day.
The one we’ve all been counting down to since last June — the morning when Penn Yan wakes up a little earlier, the air feels a little brighter, and the whole village seems to lean forward at once.

The Keuka Arts Festival is unfolding along the Outlet, and you can feel it before you even see it — tents going up, coffee cups in hand, artists brushing off the last bits of dust from their displays, the soft hum of a crowd that’s been waiting all year.

Our guests have been patient, watching the weekend creep closer on the calendar… and honestly, so have we. There’s nothing quite like this festival — the color, the creativity, the way the whole village seems to glow from the inside out.

If you’ve never been, today is the day to change that.
Grab your people — all of them — and wander down. Let the music pull you in, let the art surprise you, let the whole thing remind you why this little historic village feels so special.

Happy festival day, Penn Yan.
We’ve been waiting for you. ❤

The village has that early‑June hush — the kind that settles over Penn Yan just before the Keuka Arts Festival unfurls along the Outlet.

Guests have already begun drifting in today, arriving early to catch the quiet before the color comes. The Outlet is soft this morning… water moving slow, sunlight warming the old stones, that fresh green scent rising from the trail. It’s the kind of calm that invites you to linger, to breathe a little deeper, to let the place open itself to you before the weekend blooms.

They wander the trail while it’s still theirs alone, slip into the little shops before the bustle, take in the stillness so they can fully embrace the festival once it wakes — food sizzling in the air, artisan pieces catching the light, creativity spilling out along the water’s edge.

And from here, it’s just a walk. No rush, no parking, no fuss — just an easy step from porch to festival, wrapped in that soft Finger Lakes ease that makes this place feel like a secret worth sharing.

A beautiful weekend is beginning, and I’m grateful to be right here in the heart of it.

Nine days of a full house… and every single guest living like they’d slipped into a story they didn’t want to end.

Cars stayed parked.
Engines cooled.
People exhaled.

They wandered down the hill in that soft, late‑day Finger Lakes light — the kind that makes the leaves glow and the sidewalks feel like they’re welcoming you back.

Main Deck Penn Yan caught them first, the way it always does —
sunset stretching across the lake, glasses lifted, plates arriving just as the sky turns that impossible gold.
It’s where dinner becomes an evening, and an evening becomes a memory.

Lake Life Brewery gave them the easy laughter, the “pull up a chair” energy that makes strangers feel like they’ve been here before.

Tavern Restaurant wrapped them in that familiar hum — warm lights, good food, the comfort of a place that knows exactly what it is.

Burnt Rose Wine Bar & Restaurant stopped them in their tracks — dishes that make you pause, breathe, and appreciate the moment you’re in.

Parker's Grille and Tap House - Penn Yan brought the buzz of Main Street — the heartbeat, the people‑watching, the energy that reminds you this town is alive in all the right ways.

And all of it… all of it… just a walk away.

Here on seven private acres, our guests woke to birdsong, sipped coffee on the porch, and stepped straight into town without ever touching their keys. They saved big bucks on gas — but more importantly, they saved their time for the good stuff.

They kicked off summer at the car show — engines gleaming, music drifting, the whole community out and shining. They didn’t “visit” Penn Yan. They lived it.

To Main Deck Penn Yan, Lake Life Brewery, Tavern Restaurant, Burnt Rose Wine Bar & Restaurant, and Parker's Grille and Tap House - Penn Yan — thank you for showing our guests what extended hospitality feels like. Not the scripted kind. The human kind.

Penn Yan, you did what you always do:
You made people feel like they belong here. Community strong ❤💪

Summer kicks off TODAY at 4 pm with Cruzin’ Night in Penn Yan, and I’m already four cold brews in and vibrating like a happy chihuahua.

The cars are stunning, the food trucks (Chris B’s, I’m looking at you) are serving the goods, the music is rolling, and yes — I will be shaking my tail feathers down Main Street like it’s a community service.

Get there. It’s a MUST.
Summer starts NOW.

🚗✨ Oma’s Suite — The Last Room for Cruisin’ Night

Penn Yan is about to hum with engines, laughter, and the glow of summer’s first evening — and Oma’s Suite is the only room left in the house for Cruisin’ Night weekend.

This space carries the tenderness of a grandmother’s hug and the charm of history — antique furnishings, soft morning light, and a quiet view of the maple leaves outside. After the music fades and the cars roll home, it’s the calm you’ll want to come back to.

June 3–6. One room. One perfect start to summer.
Book it before it’s gone — because this one won’t last long.

A round of applause for Main Deck Penn Yan — truly.

You made our guests feel like they were the only ones in the room, even with several groups dining at the same time. That level of care… that quiet, seamless hospitality… it’s rare. And it does not go unnoticed.

Thank you for showing up with such grace, warmth, and intention.
You elevated their evening in the most beautiful way, and we are so grateful to have a place like yours in our community.
