History has a way of coming full circle. ⚓️

We’ve always loved the Keuka Yacht Club and have been proud members for years, never realizing how deeply it was connected to the story of the Wagener Estate.

As we’ve uncovered our family’s history, we learned that H. Allen Wagener, a former Commodore of the Keuka Yacht Club, was the great-grandson of Abraham Wagener-the founder of Penn Yan. Abraham was the son of David Wagener, our family’s patriarch who established this very homestead and planted (Abraham) the original Wagener apple trees on the property.

We have H. Allen Wagener’s 1927 Keuka Yacht Club trophy living at Wagener Estate today, a tangible reminder that our family’s legacy has always been intertwined with the history of Keuka Lake.

The story continues to unfold, and we’re honored to preserve and share it. 💙

Our hollow OG Wagener apple trees are beginning to bear fruit, our baby Wagener apple trees are joining in, and the pear tree is just starting its season.

Still a work in progress, but the bar room renovation is beginning to settle back into the comfort and character of this old house. ✨
