We are a Vacation Home Rental Management and Event Management company, located right in the heart of the Finger Lakes. We're a husband and wife team, who love the FLX area and are raising our family here surrounded by these beautiful lakes and rolling hills. We want each of our guests to feel at home, to feel like a local, and to *linger* over each moment during their stay in our vacation homes. W

Controversial take- but not every great Finger Lakes summer stay is on the water.

Cedar Lane Cabin sits nestled in the woods just minutes from Penn Yan and Keuka Lake. It is a cool, shaded, and genuinely quiet place to stay. With authentic log construction, handmade log furniture, a sunken three-season sunroom, and a covered front porch with rockers this cabin makes it very hard to leave after morning coffee. ☕️

In the evenings, the pavilion out back with the wood firepit becomes the center of attention. Dinner outside, s'mores after, conversations that go later than anyone planned.

Keuka Lake, The Windmill Farm and Craft Market, Oak Hill Bulk Foods and downtown Penn Yan are all minutes away when you're ready!

Some weekends become the ones your friend group talks about for years.

Alyssa and her friends found one of those at Cedar Grove Cottage- wineries, a fire pit, a hot tub, and a home cozy enough that leaving was the hardest part.

What kind of Finger Lakes traveler are you?

Some people plan their whole trip around wineries- moving from tasting room to tasting room at their own pace and plenty of room in the trunk. Others come for Watkins Glen State Park Gorge and the waterfalls, up early with good hiking shoes and a packed lunch. And some arrive, find a dock, and don't move from it for seven days.

A slow morning on the lake. The water is still, the air is cool, and there is nowhere to be until you decide to venture out for the day.

Early May on Keuka Lake is one of the most peaceful times to visit. The wineries are open and slower paced, the trails are lush green, and the homes that will be impossible to book in July are still available for a quiet weekend. It is the kind of time that rewards the people who plan just a little ahead of everyone else. 😉

This Mother's Day, we want to celebrate the heart behind Linger Hospitality- Joleen.

If you have ever arrived at one of our homes to find it perfectly ready, or had a guest issue resolved before you had time to worry about it, that is Joleen. What you might not know is that her kids are often riding along with her on property checks the day before you arrive- learning what it looks like to take pride in your work and show up for people, from the back seat.

She homeschools her younger children, celebrated two of her kids getting married last year, and still somehow finds time to pour into the mothers around her. She brings a warmth and spark to everything she touches- and everyone who crosses her path tends to leave a little better for it. ❣️

We are grateful every day to work alongside her. Happy Mother's Day, Joleen!

A slow morning on the lake. A winery or two by afternoon. A long dinner that stretches well past dark, with people you've been meaning to slow down with.

That is what a day in the Finger Lakes looks like when you get it right.

A new home just joined the Linger family, and it's a good one!

Lodge at the Lake sits on Lamoka Lake with a lodge-style feel that suits the setting perfectly. The main living area has cathedral ceilings and a wall of glass doors that open onto the deck, making the lake feel like an extension of the room. The kitchen has just been remodeled. The firepit sits close to the water. The deck is large enough for a full meal outside with everyone gathered around. Kayaks and SUPs are available when the season is right.

The home sleeps eight across four bedrooms. The primary bedroom upstairs has a loft attached- a quiet sitting area that looks out over the main living space below.

For groups that want a little breathing room, a separate in-law apartment above the garage holds three additional bedrooms, a full kitchen, and its own living space. The garage level adds a pool table and exercise room.

Lamoka Lake is one of the quieter, warmer lakes in the Finger Lakes region, and this home sits right on it with 3,500 square feet of space to spread out and settle in.

What do you actually pack for a May trip to the Finger Lakes?

May here is one of the more welcoming months; warm enough to be on the water, cool enough in the evenings to want something to wrap around your shoulders. Layers will serve you better than anything else in your bag. A light jacket you can shed by noon and pull back on after dinner goes a long way this time of year.

Trout season is open in the Finger Lakes!

April on the water here has a wonderful quality to it- cool mornings, clear lakes, and a stillness that makes a few quiet hours with a fishing line feel like best way to spend a day. We've had guests who return to Waneta Lake year after year for exactly this, and who never leave without stopping at Oak Hill Bulk Foods for a pie on the way home. 😋

Whether you've been fishing these waters for years or you've been meaning to try it, this is a fine time to be here.
