As the hometown of the U.S. Navy Blue Angels, Pensacola Beach comes alive during Air Show Week. This year is especially memorable as the Blue Angels celebrate their 80th Anniversary while America celebrates its 250th Anniversary.

📅 Air Show Week Highlights

✈️ Wednesday, July 15 – “Breakfast with the Blues” (around 7:30 AM)

One of my favorite Blue Angels traditions! Grab your coffee and breakfast, walk across the street to the beach, and watch the Blue Angels mark their flight paths overhead. It’s a fun, laid-back way to kick off Air Show Week and something many visitors don’t even know about.

✈️ Thursday, July 16 – Blue Angels Practice Flight (2:00 PM)

This is actually my favorite day. You get all the excitement of the Blue Angels soaring over the Gulf, but with much smaller crowds than the official Saturday show. Walk across the street to the beach and enjoy incredible views without fighting the weekend traffic and crowds.

Imagine spending the morning relaxing by the pool, then heading to the beach to watch the Blue Angels perform over Pensacola Beach’s beautiful emerald waters. It doesn’t get much better than that!
