October is here! We are enjoying the crisp mornings, the changing leaves, and the calm lake. Our guests are soaking up the last part of the 2027 season.

We are busy tackling those projects that aren't possible in the winter, like staining the cabins. It’s been a multi-year project, but I'm happy to report we are on the final cabin. It's amazing what a fresh coat of stain does to a place.

Soon we will be raking up those leaves, deep-cleaning the cabins, and getting started on our winter projects.

Today, we're celebrating one of our longest-standing Pequot Lakes Chamber members, Black Pine Beach Resort!

For nearly 39 years, Black Pine Beach Resort has been a valued Chamber member, and their roots in our community run even deeper. Since welcoming their first guests in 1940, they've been creating unforgettable Whitefish Chain vacations for generations of families. While the resort has changed ownership over the years, one thing has remained constant: its commitment to providing exceptional hospitality.

Thank you for your decades of partnership and for helping make the Pequot Lakes area such a special place to visit. We truly appreciate everything you bring to our community!

Here's to many more years together!

Just a friendly reminder: There is still time to cast your vote for the Best of the Best Resort in the Brainerd Lakes Area. Last year, we won first place; can we win again in 2026? Every vote counts, and you can vote daily!

Last night's storm took down one of our favorite shade tree. If you've spent time at our beach over the years, you've probably sat in its shade, watching kids in the water or enjoying the sunset.

As sad as it is to lose such a special tree, we're incredibly thankful. It somehow missed the bench, picnic table, grill, and even the little bird's nest tucked into the bushes where it landed by inches.

It's a good reminder that while storms can change the landscape in an instant, they can also leave us with plenty to be grateful for.

Here's to cleaning up, another memory in the books, and making even more memories at the lake this summer.

The sun's out, the water's finally warming up, so it's time to bust out the trampoline and get it in the water.

The loons are back! We have been hearing them for several weeks now. Thomas was able to capture them swimming in the beach area this evening. Such a cool video, we had to share.

Sweet news for 2026! 🍦

We’ve upgraded our ice cream selection and are excited to announce a new partnership with Borealis Creamery — locally made right here in Minnesota! We love supporting small businesses, and that’s why so many of the items we offer in our lodge are proudly made in Minnesota.

Our kids rated it the best ice cream ever, and we can’t wait to hear your review too!
