If the Fair has been on your list, this is the weekend to make it happen. Jesse McCartney plays tonight, Tracy Byrd is Friday, and Saturday brings the Corn Dog Eating Competition, which is exactly as fun to watch as it sounds. The Fair closes Sunday, October 18 with Rumba Latina. There's still time to grab a site and make a weekend of it.

Easy tips for a Fair day that doesn't wear you out.

Staying close to the Fairgrounds is a big advantage, so make the most of it. Leave the rig set up and take your tow vehicle or a rideshare over, it's a lot easier than hunting for big-vehicle parking. Wear your most comfortable shoes, because 1,100 acres is a lot of ground. Pack a small bag with sunscreen, a refillable water bottle, and a phone charger.

Check the Fair's daily schedule online before you go so you don't miss the shows you care about. Here's the best part: you can head back to your site midday for a break and go back for the evening concert and fireworks.

Free admission today for service members, veterans, and their families.

Today is Patriotic Day at the Georgia National Fair. Active duty, veterans, reservists, and military retirees, along with their immediate family members, get in free with military ID. And tonight at 7:30 PM, Darryl Worley is on the Georgia National Stage.

With Robins Air Force Base just up the road, we see a lot of military families come through the park, and we can't think of a better way to say thank you than a day at the Fair.

Today's the day. The Georgia National Fair opens with Sneak A Peek pricing: $10 admission for ages 11 and up, and kids 10 and under get in free.

Tonight at 7:30 PM, Lonestar takes the Georgia National Stage, and like every concert this year, it's included with your admission.

The Georgia National Fair returns to the Georgia National Fairgrounds and Agricenter here in Perry from October 8 through 18, drawing crowds from all over the state for rides, food, concerts, and everything in between.
