As you may have heard, the City of Maumee has decided that they no longer wanted to open the campground to the fishermen and women coming for the run. Wood county fairgrounds has stepped up and is more than happy to open their campground!! It’s not on the river but it’s not too long of a drive either.

Here is a message about some camping that will be available for the run!!

Good morning everyone. I posted two weeks ago that I was working on an area for the out-of-towners for camping. I've been working with Heather from Schroeder Farms with getting information from her on what they charged with the cost of everything I took all this information over to the gentleman yesterday. He is agreeing to this he's going to be working on all the information this week and setting up a website that you guys can go to register and pay. Good part about this is there is electric over there and a lot of these spots so if you choose to have electric the cost will be a little bit more. He's looking at setting it up to start the middle of March and probably to the end or the first week of May. About the same amount of time that they did at Schroeder Farms.

It’s with a heavy heart that we inform you that Schroeder Farm Campground will no longer be in operation. We didn’t go down without a fight. Thank you all for an amazing 17 years. We have met so many wonderful people and had many great times. Best to you all.
