Welcome to Perryville’s FIRST and only bicycle hostel! Introducing Caroline’s Great River Road Inn! Located at 11 S. Spring Street behind our historic Faherty house. The combined efforts between the Perry County Heritage Tourism and the Perry County Historical Society has provided a cool space for bicyclists to “put the kickstand down” and hang out for a day or two. They can take in some local history, grab a craft beer, gourmet coffee, and delicious bites. Because we know this group of visitors LOVE local! Local eats, drinks, shopping, and soak up some local culture and natural surroundings is the name of the game! So tell your cycle friends and plan a visit TODAY!
Who is Caroline?
This lovely space is named after Caroline Emily Delaussus Faherty. Caroline lived here on this property over one hundred years ago. Caroline was the wife of William P. Faherty and the mother to five children during the 1880's. William and Caroline purchased this property in 1879.
The Faherty House is the oldest residential home in Perryville dating back to 1828 and serves as a time capsule-giving you a unique glimpse into Perryville during the timeframe of 1828-1880, the Faherty family was the last family to live at 11 S. Spring Street.
