Go, Rita and Puente! At CBC, we have done supply drives for Puente.. and we see Rita in downtown Pescadero often. We are glad Puente's good work is getting some attention on a national stage!

The first ten days of Camp Butano Creek open registration have been amazing! Thank you for the trust and support you convey when you register your camper for our all-volunteer summer sleepaway camp!

There is still time to join the fun! Camper spots are available in:

Session 1 (June 27-July 4): Mariners, Landlovers, and Wavecatchers

Session 2 (July 11-July 18): Beachcombers, Mariners, Adventurers, and Wavecatchers

Session 3 (July 25-August 1): Mariners, Tranquil Trekkers, and Wavecatchers

And don't forget about our wait list! Sometimes plans change, things happen, and families need to cancel registration. Campers on the wait list get moved into their preferred session and unit first - it's already happened a few times since registration opened!

Registration has already begun for staff, though!

January 3-9: Core staff and their families

January 10-16: Returning unit staff, driver/floaters, pre-camp, part-time staff, and their families

January 17-23: New staff and their families, with an appointment with Cookie

February 1: open registration for all campers and other late-deciding staff

Camp is coming! Did you receive our email, sent to all camp families on 12/22? See information below:
2025 Camp dates:
Session 1: June 28 – July 5
Session 2: July 12 – 19
Session 3: July 26 – August 2

Registration dates:
1) January 4-17: Returning staff. We will register core positions first, January 4-10, and then unit staff positions, January 11-17.
2) January 18-24 - New volunteer staff & their households: Camp Butano Creek is always looking for new staff volunteers. We could not make camp happen without them. There are many perks of volunteering as staff, including being able to experience the magic of camp first hand, spending a week in the beautiful redwoods, plus the bonus of signing up before registration is open to the general public. To take advantage of this bonus, be sure to register as staff and register your camper BEFORE January 25th.
3) February 1st - all campers and staff

Holy cow! The USA Olympic Archery team got the warm fuzzies our campers wrote during Sessions 1 and 2! Amazing!

Woah! Our camper registration opens on Feb. 3rd, but returning CORE staff registration (program, nurses, kitchen, etc.) began today and other returning staff registration begins next weekend. We can't wait to get back to the redwoods!

That's a wrap for another season of summer camp at Camp Butano Creek! The third session did not end the way we expected, but we cannot be prouder of the experience we provided to all campers and staff this session. We hope to see you all next year!

Are your summer plans.... missing something?

We need a few more volunteers for Session 3, July 20-29. If you are able to join our staff for the full week, or if you could spare a few days in that date range, let us know now!

Our volunteers look forward to spending time with our campers and each other in the redwoods all year long. They even save up their vacation days year after year - that's impressive commitment! We provide training and support to keep campers safe, while you and the campers are having fun, learning new skills, and making friends.
