Dismals Canyon Dismals Canyon is a Nature Retreat and Historical Landmark that is located in Northwest Alabama.

Intentionally private, Dismals Canyon - in keeping with its pristine surroundings - offers a quiet and unspoiled oasis in Alabama’s last secret hiding place. A secluded wilderness filled with natural phenomena tucked deep within the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains.

The more time you spend in nature,the more mysteries you will see. This tree may not be big around, but it is very tall. So maybe it is old enough to be a marker tree. The passage to what we call the Witch’sCavern is hidden and a lot of people miss it.
