As we head into the fall season, we're cooking up something really fun...International Thursdays! Our incredible staff has come to Popham from all over the world, so this fall they're going to bring some of their best food to Spinneys! Every week we will showcase a meal from a different country. You will NOT want to miss this amazing line up.

First up this week is Chicken Adobo from the Philippines. A beloved Filipino comfort food, known for its rich, umami flavor. Chicken braised in a tangy, savory sauce made from soy-sauce, vinegar, garlic, onions and spices. Served with garlic fried rice.

We will run our normal menu in tandem with these special dishes.

'Twas another very fun Flare Night here at Popham; thanks to all who participated!

With the return of school this week for guests and staff alike, our hours will change going forward. Rather than close midweek, we're opting to continue to offer dinner 7 days/week! We will serve lunch and dinner Friday through Monday (11:30 to 8:00), and then dinner Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (4:00 to 8:00).

Thanks to everyone for a fun summer, and cheers to everyone who plans to come see us this fall! Restaurant closing day will be October 12th this year.

Happy (week of) Flare Night which is this Friday, August 21st! The weather looks perfect to celebrate this growing annual tradition down here at Popham Beach. As far as parking/food/drink/festivities, we'll be doing our best to take care of everyone that evening. Here are Spinneys-related details:

Parking:
- We will park as many people as we can onsite. *PLEASE* carpool. We reserve the right to pass on single-occupied landboats. For our lower lot at the corner of Sea St and 209, you bring $20 cash and we will give you a $20 Spinneys gift card.

Food/drink:
- We'll stay open until 9PM, woo! We will run a special Flare night menu designed to provide everyone the classics in a timely fashion. The food warmer in the store will be stocked with simple grab 'n go items also. We'll have some special Flare night drinks too!

Festivities:
- Parade starts at 7:30 followed by flare lighting at the beach and fort. Unfortunately high tide is 6:51 that night, so we cant setup a beach fire a safe distance from buildings until a little later in the night. *NO* fireworks may be shot off in front of Spinneys (sorry, my lively hood = dry wooden structures)

Happy August! Life is good here at Popham, and we have a beautiful stretch of weather coming our way.

Due to some last minute cancellations, we have lodging openings starting Sunday, including the refreshed Captains Quarters next week!

Our upriver friends Cushnoc Brewing Co. have brewed us a limited edition Popham Pilsner! This Italian-style beer is made from Maine-grown pilsner malt and spelt and served on draft, or available for purchase in the market in gorgeous "Spinneys blue" cans. Come get a taste of summer in coastal Maine! 🌊

As heat indices climb above 100 Thursday and Friday, for the safety and health of our kitchen staff, we will have a nearly complete lunch menu but will *not* be frying or grilling during peak heat. We will run our full menu starting at 4:30pm.

Stay safe, drink plenty of liquids, and come enjoy a lobster roll and ice cream :)

Starting tomorrow, the answer to the question, "Is Spinneys open today?" is "YES!"

Our hours will be 11:30am to 8:00pm 7 days a week starting July 1st as we welcome full-on summer.

Tonight’s Burgers for Burgers fundraiser benefiting Popham Beach State Park has been postponed until next Thursday, June 25.

Spinneys will be open today through Monday: 11:30 am-8 pm. 🌊

Happy Thursday, folks! We continue to expand our hours of operation and are now open 11:30 to 8:00, Thursday through Monday.

For today's Burgers for 'Burgers we will be raising money for the Phippsburg Land Trust! This incredible group preserves and maintains some amazing property in town that everyone should check out.

Next week we will be raising money for Popham Beach State Park! They could really use our help funding a new rescue board (NOT cheap).
