Our short-term rentals are geared toward those who need to stick to a budget yet would still like to enjoy the additional size and amenities of a complete vacation home as well as the convenient location and private, well-kept environment of a resort hotel. Starting out at Motel 6 prices, even our most expensive rates are half the starting rate of a single bedroom and bathroom at the Hilton next d

oor, yet with two to three times the space! We strive to provide a great value to guests, offering both affordable rates and the convenience of a full-size home in a pleasant gated community. Each of our many rentals features a full-size living room, kitchen and dining area, at least two bedrooms and bathrooms and a spacious patio or balcony, and accommodates from 4 - 6 guests. All non-perishable, disposable or consumable items are supplied, including kitchenware, utensils, appliances, electronics, linens, towels and more -- just bring your toothbrush! Units differ only by lower/upper level, bedding configuration, decor, view and location within resort and distance from nearest pools. Sizes, amenities, facilities and rates however are virtually the same for each. The Pointe Resort is a gated resort community located in North Phoenix about 10 miles Northeast of downtown and is adjacent to the Pointe Hilton Resort at Tapatio Cliffs. The complex contains three pool areas each with hot tubs, restrooms, grills and showers, as well as on-site tennis and basketball courts. Guest also have access to their own private mailbox where their USPS mail may be forwarded during their stay. Nearby is the North Mountain Preserve where there are numerous hiking and biking trails. Ten golf courses are within a seven mile radius, starting with Lookout Mountain next door to our north. There are four major indoor/outdoor shopping malls within 5 miles, in addition to many chain stores and restaurants within 2 miles or less, yet this gated community is a virtual hidden oasis for tranquil relaxation. The centralized location within the North Phoenix area provides a convenient home base with easy access to all the destinations, sites and establishments in both the East and West Valleys. Seeking personable and presentable individuals who enjoy working with guests in the hospitality industry and in property management (mostly in a private indoor air conditioned environment). Requires you live close and/or have vehicle to be on site regularly (often multiple times per week, and sometimes on short notice). Should be able-bodied with no significant physical limitations (able to bend, lift and move freely without issue).

Assistant will be primarily responsible for co-managing assigned rental properties including check-ins, guest questions & needs while occupied, check-out inspections, final inspections (after housekeeping cleans) & staging. Occasional help assisting general manager in transporting or lifting moderately heavy items and other interim work not related to a specific paid booking may be required as part of job. Pay is limited to 10% of each booking that you are solely responsible for and see thru all the way. Pay starts at 5% while training and gradually increases to 10% when ready to take over a property on your own. Pay will be larger for longer bookings, high season bookings and if able to take on multiple rentals as skill and comfort-level increases.

No past hospitality or managerial experience needed if personable, hard-working and good at maintaining order and problem-solving.

THINGS TO CONSIDER BEFORE APPLYING: Assistant will not be paid extra for occasional odd jobs assisting general manager and will start out at just 5% while training on the job under supervision, which can take up to a month or more. Pay can range greatly depending on number and length of bookings, season, number of properties you manage, etc. but may be limited, unpredictable and not reliable as sole source of income starting out. May have to answer calls & texts at random waking hours and even pay unexpected visits if guests or property require urgent attention, or in absence of general manager. Need to be reasonably fit and able-bodied as much of the work is physical. Not ideal for those easily discouraged while getting acclimated and learning on the job. Flexible schedule required; best for someone with time on their hands who wants to make extra money on the side while starting out.
