Situated on the N.W. corner of Central and Portland in Downtown Phoenix, FOUND:RE is a perfect destination for visitors and locals to hang out and discover all the amazing places Downtown has to offer. Here at FOUND:RE Phoenix we want you to “Find yourself…”

Yes, we mean in a physical sense, but we’re also talking about some self-discovery too. While you’re here, we want you to find some new art to inspire you. Take a walk through the hotel and its galleries and discover what our local artists have created. Find some new flavors at our onsite restaurant, MATCH Market & Bar. Find a new spot (whether it’s here or somewhere near the hotel) that you see yourself coming back to often, a place where you have fun. That’s what we mean when we say, “Find yourself.” Make it an experience to remember, we want you to feel something. Then come back, and do it all over again. As J.R.R. Tolkien says, “Not all those who wander are lost,” He’s totally right. Maybe we’re just finding ourselves. That’s what the journey is all about, right? You never know what you might learn.

October at FOUND:RE PHX!

Crafter Hours kicks off tonight in the studio, then moves to the lounge most Wednesdays this month. It’s 5–8 pm and free. Bring your own supplies and make whatever you were going to make anyway, just in better company.

Friday, October 16, we open “Too Cute,” our newest exhibition of kawaii-inspired work by local artists. Come see what happens when sweetness is taken seriously. Reception runs 6–8 pm.

Making my own paper portrait ahead of Crafter Hours’ Paper Portraits night.
Turns out cutting out your own nose is harder than it looks…keep it simple ✂️

A few tips if you’re coming:

• Start with the shape of your face before you commit to any features
• Save your favorite-colored paper for the part of you you like best
• Don’t overthink the hair. No one’s is symmetrical anyway
