Hope everyone is doing as well as can be expected with all this craziness going on. All our planes have been put on hold but will continue after the scare is over. I did receive a report from the Piedmont Commercial Development Authority on their progress in the last 18 months or since they've been reinstated. Please read until the end. It's important that the community know that there is a group of locals working very hard to keep Piedmont on it's feet. I truly do not understand why the council would vote to disband this group. If you want the full report contact me and I'll send it to you. BE SAFE!!!!!!

Just wanted to let everyone know that the Food Pantry is still up and doing quite well. Actually it's doing a little to well. I have tried to do the honor system to make this work but unfortunately I have three or four people that are taking everything every day and the people that truly need the help are not getting it. With the new policy the Pantry is only available from 10 till 5 Monday thru Saturday and you must call Dan Freeman @ 256-239-6580 to gain access. Donations ( which are greatly needed ) can be brought to the store front at 114 South Center Ave or call me.

We've moved to the Clyde H Pike Civic Center for the winter month's. It's on the second floor so if you need access to the elevator you'll have to let me know. Hope to see you there.
