Starting at 10am this morning, access to all grounds and facilities east of the Welcome Center at Farm Island will be closed off to replace multiple culverts on the main park road. This closure is only while contractors are working and access will be available again before they leave for the day. This includes today the 25th, and tomorrow the 26th with the understanding this could trickle into Thursday the 27th as well.

This is the beginning of a larger project which will rebuild a large section of road in the park, starting in September.

Thank for your patience while these improvements are completed.

Park staff noticed a young girl with chalk writing on the Asphalt Trail before turning into the Main campground at Farm Island earlier today. While, we weren't able to get her name, we'd like to Thank her for sharing these positive messages with all park users.

Just in time for Archery season, park staff have placed the 3-D targets at the Farm Island Archery Range. These will stay in place for the next few months!

Update: The power has been restored and facilities will be reopened

Farm Island is out of power and Oahe Electric is working on it.

Our Comfort Stations (shower house/restrooms) and the Fish Cleaning Station are currently closed until we regain power.
