Bush’s Sunset Lodge Lake Oahe, SD

Founded in 1964 by Emmett Bush, Sunset Lodge was the first of its kind north of Pierre. It started out as a goose camp with 5 units and has grown to 15 motel rooms, a rustic cabin, an old steakhouse that was once very popular now is a large 1 bdrm cabin for rent, baitshop and full service bar, and brand new 3 bedroom trailer house that sleeps 11 people. It was once full of campers and guests before falling into disrepair and then shut down for over 5yrs. It was sold and re-opened in May 2017 with owners living on-site. The lodge building and trailer house stay open year around now.
