✨Jurassic Adventure at The Island — Pigeon Forge
(Through September 13)

A free, family-friendly dinosaur experience right on the Island in Pigeon Forge. Guests of all ages can encounter life-sized dinosaur displays throughout the grounds — no extra ticket needed beyond your usual visit.

✨Festival of Flags — Gatlinburg SkyPark
(May 15 – July 5)

The American Flag, all 50 State Flags, and Military Flags are displayed above the city from the iconic SkyBridge. A breathtaking and patriotic sight honoring Memorial Day, Flag Day, and the America 250 celebration. Included with all SkyPark tickets during normal operating hours. Snap a photo with your home state flag!

✨United Tastes of America — Anakeesta, Gatlinburg
(June 1 – August 10)

A culinary celebration at Anakeesta spotlighting flavors from across the country. Great pairing for a mountaintop dining experience with stunning Smoky Mountain views.

A beloved Saturday morning tradition in Gatlinburg featuring local vendors, fresh seasonal produce, artisan goods, and community charm. Rain or shine every Saturday throughout June.

✨Cades Cove Vehicle-Free Wednesdays — GSMNP
(Every Wednesday, May 6 – September 30)

Every Wednesday the 11-mile Cades Cove loop is closed to vehicles, opening it exclusively to walkers, joggers, and cyclists. One of the most scenic and peaceful experiences in the Smokies — arrive early for the best wildlife sightings.

✨June 1–7 | Dollywood Flower & Food Festival — Final Week

The beloved springtime festival wraps up its final week, with over half a million vibrant blooms, stunning mosaiculture displays, and seasonal food offerings throughout the park. Don’t miss your last chance to experience this spectacular floral showcase before it concludes on Sunday, June 7.

✨June 4–6 | 26th Annual Pontiacs in Pigeon Forge Car Show & Swap Meet

One of the most anticipated car events in the Smokies returns for its 26th year! Featuring classic GTOs, Firebirds, Fieros, and more, this three-day show includes a Swap Meet, Best in Show, Best in Stock awards, and the iconic Saturday Cruise. A must for any classic car enthusiast.

✨June 6 | Free Fishing Day — Tennessee State Parks & Public Waters
(Statewide)

No fishing license? No problem! Tennessee offers one of two annual Free Fishing Days on June 6, open to anyone wanting to cast a line in public waters and state parks — no license required for the day.

✨June 8–11 | A Mountain Quiltfest

Quilters and fabric art lovers from all over the country gather at the LeConte Center for one of the region’s premier quilting events. Featuring stunning quilt displays, vendors, workshops, and competitions — a true celebration of American textile artistry.

✨June 14 | Great Smoky Mountains National Park Fee-Free Day
(All GRSM Entrance Points)

In honor of Flag Day, all National Park Service sites that normally charge an entrance fee offer free admission to U.S. citizens and residents. Note: timed entry and reservation fees may still apply. One of seven fee-free days in 2026.

✨June 15 | Dollywood’s Smoky Mountain Summer Celebration Begins!

The summer season officially kicks off at Dollywood! Enjoy extended park hours, special summer entertainment, live performances, and nightly fireworks throughout the summer. Running through August 2, this is one of the biggest events of the summer season in the Smokies.

Celebrate Dad in the Smokies! The area’s restaurants, attractions, and outdoor adventures make for the perfect Father’s Day getaway. Summer also officially begins — the longest days of the year arrive in the mountains.

✨June 26 | America 250 Community Celebration — Downtown Sevierville

Kick off a weeklong celebration of America’s 250th anniversary with a special community event in the heart of downtown Sevierville. Expect patriotic festivities, live entertainment, and community pride as the nation marks this historic milestone.

✨June 26 | An Evening with Billy Dean — Country Tonite Theatre, Pigeon Forge

Country music hitmaker Billy Dean takes the stage at the beloved Country Tonite Theatre for one unforgettable evening of live music. Showtime: 8:00 PM.

✨June 27–July 1 | Rising Star Talent Productions National Finals

The national finals of this talent competition bring performers from across the country to Pigeon Forge to close out June with a bang and carry the energy right into July. nationally recognized federal holiday commemorating the emancipation of enslaved African Americans. Many local venues and community organizations host observances and cultural celebrations throughout the Sevier County area.
