WHAT HAPPENED AFTER ORANGE?

2010 called. We checked in 16 years later. 👀

Meet Guillermina Basso and Leonardo Leão, two Team Orange alumni with different stories and one unforgettable experience.

Today, Guillermina is an accountant, runs her own office, and teaches at a university. But she still remembers the friendships she made while living with 70 other students from around the world. 🧡

Leonardo took a different path. Now an entrepreneur at Agrobar, he credits his Work and Travel experience with improving his English and helping him understand international markets.

Two people. Two paths. One summer that stayed with them.

🎉 OH WHAT A MONTH! SEPTEMBER

Road trips, new faces, familiar stories, and plenty of Team Orange moments. Here’s what September looked like. 🧡

⚾ September 4: Team Orange Tennessee hit the road for Georgia, exploring Helen, Lilburn, and Atlanta before ending the trip with a Dodgers vs. Braves game at Truist Park.

🍫 September 13: International Chocolate Day gave us the perfect excuse to bring back one sweet Team Orange memory: our Puerto Rican interns visiting Hershey’s Chocolate World.

🇵🇷 September 14: Orange hit the road in Puerto Rico! We visited students across the island, from San Juan, Carolina, and Cabo Rojo to Escorial, Bayamón, Manatí, Ponce, and Caguas, talking about paid internships in the U.S. and the opportunities waiting beyond the classroom.

🍊 September 22: Our new Alumni Stories series kicked off with Queenie Rivera, Class of 2016, and a look at where life took her after Orange. One summer, a lot of life after it.

⭐ September 24: The spotlight went to Yeong Jing Rou and Iki Low Jing Qian, our September OH Stars, for the energy, hard work, and positive attitude they brought to the Food Service team at Ober Mountain.

🦋 September 25: We marked Dolly Parton Day, honoring her legacy and her deep connection to the Smoky Mountains with a special Orange tribute inspired by one of her most iconic symbols: the butterfly.

🌟 September 28: Darbin Encarnación was named our September Employee of the Month, recognized for his reliability, positive attitude, and the way he makes guests feel welcome.

💦 September 29: Dollywood announced a new waterfall beside the Robert F. Thomas Chapel, honoring Dolly Parton’s life and her love for the Smoky Mountains. A meaningful tribute in the heart of the Smoky Mountains.

From first conversations to stories that started years ago, September showed us just how far an Orange experience can go. 🧡
