Dolly’s always been in the details at Peaks & Pines. 🦋
Dolly has been woven into my entire life.
Childhood memories of visiting Dollywood. Working my way through college at Dolly Parton’s Stampede, where I met my husband and got to meet Dolly a few times! Taking our kids back to the place where we met countless times, and probably the place where my daughter first discovered her love of horses.
So when we decided to buy our first cabin in Sevierville, there was no question who would inspire me.
Dolly.
I spent countless drives to the cabin listening to Dolly’s hits while bringing Peaks & Pines to life. I wanted the cabin to feel updated but I also wanted to capture some of the warmth and magic of the place it calls home. I wanted it to feel like you were visiting Dolly’s hometown and not just another tourist town.
Then we discovered that you can see the Dollywood fireworks from the cabin on summer celebration nights and that made it feel even more special. We couldn’t have asked for a more fitting view.
There are so many beautiful cabins in the Smokies that are modern, sleek, and luxurious. And while I love those too, I’ve always believed a cabin in the Smoky Mountains should feel a little different.
It should feel like coming home, even if it’s your very first time here.
It should carry a little of the spirit of Dolly.
Because Dolly never forgot where she came from. She took the beauty, values, music, stories, and spirit of these mountains with her wherever she went, and then spent her life giving back to the place that made her.
That’s what I hope Peaks & Pines does in its own small way.
I hope you leave with memories you’ll carry home, a deeper appreciation for these mountains, and maybe just a little bit of Dolly in your heart. 🦋
