🌲 Looking for an Awesome Day Trip from Valhalla Acres? 🌲
Here’s one of our favorite local adventures!
Start by leaving the campground and heading toward Luminary Country Market about 11.5 miles away (perfect stop for snacks). From there you'll drive Lowes Gap (Extreme) Road, a beautiful winding road down the mountain (not recommended for large vehicles).
At the bottom, turn onto Old State Hwy 28 and stop at Justin P. Wilson Cumberland Trail State Park – Head of the Sequatchie. This is where the Sequatchie River literally comes out of the ground, which is pretty amazing to see!
After that, continue your adventure to Fall Creek Falls State Park where you can hike, explore overlooks, and even take the cable trail down to the base of the falls.
Finish the loop back to Valhalla Acres for a relaxing evening around the campfire.
