Horse sale at Half Moon Lake Lodge! This is our annual event! Help us find these wonderful horses their forever homes!!
We have riding horses and pack horses. We have elegant Frisians and draft horses! The flyer is an AI generated flyer to give you an idea but photos are NOT of our actual horses. Here is a line up:
Dodge: 15 + yr old quarter horse gelding. Excellent riding horse. Leads out. Beginner friendly. $6,000
Willow: 12+ year old quarter horse mare, buckskin. Excellent riding horse, leads out, beginner friendly- when worked consistently. $7,500
Sam 15+ quarter horse gelding. He is excellent for any rider! He’s 16 h tall and is perfect for all guests including handicapped or first time riders. Get your confidence back on this one! Blind in one eye, but it doesn’t affect him. $7,500
Porsche: 10 yr old paint mare. Good riding mare, prefers not to lead out but will. Rider needs to be under 200 lbs but she is a big stocky beautiful mare. $8,000
Johnny: 12+ yr old quarter horse gelding- sorrel- good riding horse, better pack horse. $6,000
Raven: 15+ Friesian mare. Black, good riding horse, will lead out but prefers not to. Very herd bound. Very loving, lots of energy. $7500
Diamond: 6 yr old Friesian mare (dark bay). Good riding horse, will go all day, beginner friendly, leads out, crosses anything. $9,000
Mr.Moon: 5 yr old mustang gelding, great packing horse, broke to ride for an experienced rider. He is spooky and needs more time in the saddle. He is beautiful, would make a beautiful dressage, jumper! $8,000
Dally: 3 yr old quarter horse mare. 14 h chestnut, good pack horse, broke to ride, just needs more time in the saddle. $7500
Ty: 3 yr old mustang gelding bay, good riding horse, better pack horse, will go all day. Won’t lead out. $8,000
Rueben 5 yr old quarter horse gelding bay, good riding horse, good pack horse. Crosses things with no problem. $7,500
Jasper: 3 yr old Friesian bay gelding, broke to ride, very sweet. $6,000
Fig: 2 yr old quarter horse bay gelding. 14h Halter broke, very sweet once he is comfortable with you. $2500
Spur: 3 yr old Brabrant- red roan gelding. Halter broke only, wants to please and is a quick learner. $9500
Latte: 10 yr old paint mare. Has been lame in one leg since acquiring her. Very sweet! She rides great. We are putting her on a joint supplement to see if that helps her leg. $4500
Half Moon Lake Lodge sells horses every year as a way to help out our horse community and fine animals. We rescue and train horses all season and then we find them forever homes in the fall. These are all horses that we have used here at Half Moon for our guest rides and pack trips. If you have come and ridden one of our horses this season then you have probably ridden one that is for sale. Maybe you might be their next perfect home!!?
We look forward to seeing you all on the 2nd! And please note that no horse trailers are allowed at the horse area as parking is tight! Only some horses will be allowed to leave that day, some will need to finish out the season as a guest horse and won’t be available until mid to late Aug depending on the horse chosen. But all horses will be ready and available before hunting season so get yourself a good pack horse and a riding horse to pack out for you this fall!
