Thank you so much for the invitation to provide some additional fun with our bounce house and driveway yard games!
White Mountain Helping Hands and American Legion Post 86 have combined efforts to hold a fundraiser on Saturday Aug. 16 in Overgaard.
Come out and support them-hope to see you there!
With raffle prizes, live music, bounce houses and face painting, White Mountain Helping Hands is bringing the community together for an afternoon of fun, all for a good cause.
The nonprofit is teaming up with veteran Anthony Maiden and American Legion Post 86 to host a fundraising raffle event from 3 to 6 p.m. on Aug. 16 at 2068 Lumber Valley Road in Overgaard. Admission is free with the purchase of at least one raffle ticket.
Tickets cost $20 each, or buy five and get one free, and enter guests into drawings for a variety of prizes, including:
A $150 gift card to La Naturale PMA Spa in Pinetop
A $130 e‑gift card to the Heritage Inn in Snowflake, good toward a stay in the Sage Room or similar, with no set date required
A $100 gift card and matching sweatshirts from The Pour Station
A $100 gift card to The Cattlemen’s Steakhouse
A handmade decorative clock from Lakeside Laser Creations
A health and wellness basket from Sunshine Herbs
Two tickets to WMHH’s “Murder on the Deuce” on Aug. 23
All proceeds benefit WMHH and the many community programs they support.
“I wanted to find a fun way to help WMHH raise money for all the groups they support,” said Maiden, who serves on the event planning committee and spearheaded the raffle idea. “Once we got the prizes and tickets lined up, I reached out to the Legion to help us get the word out, and it just took off from there.”
The event will feature live music by Midnight Moon, a Monkey Fun Mega Bouncy Castle, Sparkle Pop Face Painting, a food truck court and more. Raffle tickets, which double as entry into the event, are available at the following local businesses:
La Naturale PMA Spa in Pinetop
The Pour Station
Cattlemen’s Steakhouse
Sunshine Herbs
At the event itself
First responders receive free admission and special recognition at the event. The first 20 first responders to arrive will also receive a free meal from one of the on‑site food trucks, with four meal options to choose from, two from each vendor, thanks to a partnership worked out by Maiden.
A limited number of raffle tickets will be available for purchase at the event. The purchase of a ticket grants the buyer entrance into the event.
