Kirby E. Cannon Jr. will be deeply remembered for the way he lived his life—with faith, compassion, patriotism, and an unwavering love for his family and community. A proud United States Army veteran, Kirby continued his service long after his military years through his dedication to fellow veterans as Commander of American Legion Post 307. He gave generously of his time and heart, always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

Music was one of Kirby’s greatest passions and a true reflection of his spirit. As the lead singer of his bands and a talented guitarist and multi-instrumentalist, he brought happiness and energy to countless people through his performances. He also found joy in restoring hot rods, riding snowmobiles and ATVs, and sharing traditions with his community, including welcoming the Kunkle Parade lineup to gather at his yard for more than 25 years.

Above all, Kirby treasured his family. He was a devoted husband, loving father, proud Papa, and cherished great-grandfather whose kindness and warmth touched every generation of his family. His legacy of love, faith, music, service, and friendship will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

We’re bringing together some of the best local bands for an epic showdown featuring Rock, Country, Southern Rock, Americana and more. Grab your friends, your chairs, and your favorite drink. This is one you don’t want to miss.

🎤 Multiple bands taking the stage throughout the event
🏆 $750 cash prize on the line
🎶 45-minute sets from each band
🎟️ Open to the public, $5 gate admission per person

⚠️ Only 6 bands will take the stage and they are bringing their best.

🔥 Think your band has what it takes? We’re still looking for performers.

💵 $100 entry fee with $75 returned after performance
🏆 Winner also earns a 2027 headline slot

Our Industrial Service students spent the day at Rivers Edge, rolling up their sleeves to help get the campground ready for another great season! Beautiful weather, strong work ethic, and a job well done—great work, students!
